Hello all -
My question is twofold
1. How can I get my DNS and all that goes with it to work properly. I use GoDaddy for my domains so how can I point them in the right spot.
2. How can I get Google Apps running after I figure out the DNS?
Thanks

Hi,
You would need to point your go-daddy DNS to your site's IP address. This can be found on control.stackable.com under the site section.

Notice where it says DNS address on that screenshot.
As far as I know the only configuration google apps requires is a DNS configuration. Since you are using go-daddy you woud just need to change your DNS with them following google's instuctions.

To host a domain on Stackable, your name servers should be ns1.stackable.com and ns2.stackable.com.
So I take it that once you point your domain to the stackable name servers, you'll be able to configure MX records etc in the stackable DNS Manager?
And, do you have to use the stackable name servers, or can you just point your domain to stackable (as described above) if you want to use 3rd party DNS?
Thanks

Chris,
Yes, that's correct. You may also use Stackable to host your sites without using Stackable's name servers to serve DNS for your domain. Our control panel will give you the correct IP address to point to.

A few of my clients use the dot gov extensions. The registering body there requires the IP. I just logged into live support and pestered 'em about the IPs. Thought I'd pass this along:
ns1.stackable.com
99.104.127.137
ns2.stackable.com
199.104.127.154
Thanks, LOVING stackable!
